Lewis Powell

Lewis attended the Surrey Institute of Osteopathic Medicine and joined the team in September 2013. He is an osteopathic practitioner at the King Clinic in Sutton.

Lewis worked alongside the Orthopaedic consultants in Epsom and St Helier Orthopaedic Clinic, specialised in the hip and knee department.

He gained an A grade for his dissertation, which looked at the temperature of the skin in relation to organ dysfunction, this holistic view was based on the early research of osteopathy around 100 years ago.

Lewis treats a wide variety of conditions including:

  • back pain
  • pelvic pain
  • neck pain
  • headaches
  • shoulder pain
  • joint pain
  • muscle pain
  • sports injuries (specialised on those from football and athletics)
  • occupational & postural pain
  • conditions of the elderly
  • arthritic pain
  • post operative and injury rehabilitation
  • traumatic injuries & other musculoskeletal conditions

In addition Lewis has treated London marathon runners, as part of the Charity ‘See Hear’. He is fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council and the British Osteopathic Association.
